WHAT IS A FASHION PSYCHOLOGIST?
A Fashion Psychologist utilizes the Fashion Psychology Field® a newly applied academic discipline that is focused on the study and treatment of color, beauty, style, image, and shape and its affect on human behavior while addressing cultural sensitivities and cultural norms.
WHAT IS DISTANCE LEARNING?
Distance learning is synonymous with e-learning and online learning. Distance learning can be in two forms- synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous learning occurs when students are engaging in learning at the same time (i.e. Webinars). Asynchronous learning occurs when information is shared outside the constraints of time and place among a network of people (i.e. TeleSeminars).
Certification courses are both synchronous and asynchronous. Specialized Programs are asynchronous.
Due to high demand, early registration is suggested. Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. Applications must be completed in full to be considered for admission. Once submitted our team meets to determine your eligibility to become a student at FPI 2-3 weeks upon receipt of Certificate Application. Please note for Specialized Programs will commence on their listed dates.
There are standard non-refundable Application fees that must be met in order to receive consideration. All fees must be applied prior to course registration.

WHAT COURSES ARE OFFERED?
Online Pre-College Enrichment Program Courses, Luminary Lab Program Courses and Specialized Program Courses are centered on the newly applied academic field of Fashion Psychology Field®. New Specialized Programs with Hot Topics will emerge each quarter. Students will study the various ways in which the Fashion Psychology field can be applied to business, entertainment, lifestyle, love, relationships and more. Classes will be held year round learning modules, web based tutorials and in person seminars and workshops.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CURRENT FASHION PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS
Upon meeting the full course requirements of study at the Fashion Psychology Institute®, students will receive a certificate of completion and are eligible to list the course offering on their resumes to demonstrate their experience in this newly applied field and professional industry. In order to receive academic credit as well, students will need the approval from their home institutions. 10 hours of online course instruction at the Fashion Psychology Institute® calculates to 1 CEU per quarter. To further facilitate the granting of academic credit by one's home institution, students will have the opportunity to complete a final project or exam at the end of the course offering and will receive a grade report in the form of a signed letter from the Institute; rather than a transcript. Students pursuing academic credit are strongly suggested to please confirm with the primary institution about receiving credits.
I AM A PROFESSIONAL, HOW CAN I BECOME A FASHION PSYCHOLOGIST?
All professionals must hold a high school diploma, a licensure in a field, a degree or its equivalent. Training takes place on a rolling basis. Certificates of completion will be awarded to all professionals at the conclusion of the program.
I AM A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT, CAN I TAKE COURSES?
All students much be enrolled as a high school student. Learning takes place on a rolling basis.

Fashion Psychology Institute® Certification
In the Fashion Psychology Institute® Luminary Lab Program one can enter the Pre-College Enrichment Program or obtain three different levels of certification. These levels possess different requirements in the areas of course work, examinations, online training, and seminars.
Pre-College Enrichment Program ***Students Grades 9-12 Start Here***
Must be a enrolled in high school or its equivalent
Online Learning in 5-7 Courses
Successful completion of a Pre-College Enrichment Program final exam
Level I Certification- Fashion Aristocrat ***High School Graduates Start Here***
Must be a student, have high school diploma or its equivalent
Successful completion of a Fashion Psychology Institute® Luminary Lab Certification final exam
Level II Certification- Fashion Therapist
Must have degree or its equivalent
Online Courses + TeleSeminar or Live Seminar Training + Online Internship
Complete written and practical Fashion Therapist final exam + special project
Fashion Therapist will allow one to consult clients and conduct research under supervision.
Level III Certification- Fashion Psychologist
Must have advanced degree or its equivalent
Online Training + TeleSeminar or Live Seminar Training + Live Internship
Successful completion of Fashion Psychologist thesis will allow one to teach, consult, work on campaigns, and conduct research.

To ensure professionals are continually advancing their skills we provide them with annual continuing education unit opportunities to update certifications.
HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
The Luminary Lab Certification program can 6 months to 2 years depending on your level of entry.
The Specialized Programs are taken anytime within a 3 month duration.
