FASHION PSYCHOLOGY FIELD SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS

FPI recognizes that students with a history of a criminal conviction will want to understand how their information will be considered by the FPI Admissions staff.  At FPI, we believe in second chances and are sensitive to the concerns of critics about whether our justice system fairly serves all members of our society. At the same time, when information about convictions comes to our attention, FPI has a duty to evaluate this information in a unbiased and equitable way.

At FPI, all candidate applications for admission are reviewed holistically, and persons with a criminal conviction do not automatically get denied. FPI is an institution committed to providing educational resources and services that promote equity, access, and integrity for all applicants. Academic qualifications are the primary consideration; other factors are also carefully reviewed as part of this holistic review, in which we aim to take a measure of the whole person and his/her circumstances.

APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS

Once your application is complete, it will be thoroughly reviewed by the admissions committee. There are no set formulas followed when reviewing applications; FPI actively promotes diversity and seeks out a mix of students who have a variety of interests, talents and goals.

Applicants are not permitted to request an interview.

Admissions staff personally review every application received—there are no cutoffs for admission, and every applicant is considered holistically.

All applicants will receive confirmation of receipt of their applications within three weeks after the appropriate application deadlines.
